Revealing Our Love through our Obedience:

Our love is revealed in obedience to Jesus' commandments. Here are 10 of his most prominent imperatives:

  1. "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." Mark 12:30 (NIV)
  2. "The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these." Mark 12:31 (NIV)
  3. "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." Matthew 28:19 (NIV)
  4. "This is how you should pray: Our father in heaven, hallowed by your name. Your kingdom come your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we have also forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one." Matthew 6:9-13 (NIV)
  5. "If you continue in my word then you are my disciples indeed and you will know the truth and the truth will make you free." John 8:31 (NIV)
  6. "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. All men will know that you are my disciples if you love one another." John 13:34-35 (NIV)
  7. "Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives submit to your husbands as to the Lord." Ephesians 5:21-22 (NIV)
  8. "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6 (KJV)
  9. "But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, "Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Mark 10:14 (NIV)
  10. "Go now and leave your life of sin." John 8:11 (NIV)
